23skidoo, a.k.a. Alex is a freelance journalist and book editor in Calgary, Canada. Steve Austin was Alex's first childhood hero, and he remembers watching the show at least from the start of it as a weekly series back in 1974. For awhile The Six Million Dollar Man was part of a weekly Friday night ritual of visiting his grandparent's house, where he'd watch Swiss Family Robinson (the Canadian series from the early 70s, not the American version) and Six Million Dollar Man. Later, this was modified to be a Sunday night ritual which was when SMDM aired back-to-back with David McCallum's The Invisible Man.
He also fondly remembers The Bionic Woman, especially the Doomsday Is Tomorrow two-parter, which stands out in his mind because of the weird way in which it was broadcast on Canadian TV. Part II was delayed for a week for some reason, and in its place CTV aired another episode of Bionic Woman which had not yet aired, dealing with zombies created by some sort of sonic signal and Jaime (rendered immune by her bionic ear) and a deaf girl team up in a bit of 1970s-style "survival horror". Problem is Alex can't seem to find any indication such an episode ever existed! (P.S. Krosa73 informs 23skidoo the episode was "The Vega Influence" so 23skidoo is happy to report he is not insane (though he still for some reason wants to talk of himself in the third person...)
Alex is also an administrator with the main Wikipedia who enjoys the freedom regarding images and research afforded by The Bionic Wiki which no longer exists on WIkipedia. Alex believes that the Betacommandbot and related programs have ruined the Wikipedia experience for many people and as such he is phasing out his involvement with that project in favor of the more friendly atmosphere of the specialized Wikis, starting with this one (he also contributes to the Muppet and Terminator wikis).
