[edit] Summary
[edit] Quotes
Oscar: I want you to take a look at this.
Jaime: (watching a rodeo rider) You sure you got the right tape?
Oscar: You just watch - you'll see.
Jaime: He's kinda cute.
Oscar: I hadn't noticed.
Jaime: Really sounds like an interesting character.
Oscar: Well, he's brilliant, eccentric - but don't misunderstand. He's an accomplished rodeo rider. After his last accident, I demanded that he choose between his job and his hobby. Well, he resigned, so I compromised. Now he does what he wants.
Jaime: Some compromise!
Oscar: Well, I can't win 'em all.
Oscar: Jaime, I want you to go up with him this weekend. Keep an eye on him; get him back safely on Monday - and try to keep a cow from stepping on his head in the meantime.
Jaime: (wincing as she watches a rider land on his head) Whoa... Oscar, c'mon... you don't... you don't really want me to get actually... I mean, actually involved in this rodeo, do you?
Oscar: Only as a last resort, Jaime. But I have confidence in you - you've been an accomplished horsewoman since you were eight years old.
Jaime: Well, I know, but in all that time, I didn't go running around chasing an unhappy bull!
Billy: How good are you at pickup ridin'?
Jaime: Picked up on you, didn't I?
Billy: I'll answer that in a minute.
Jaime: Look, you work with Max. I know you know about bionics, and... uh... I'm bionic.
Billy: Well, if that don't beat all. I always said you was somethin'. I'm beginnin' to feel better already - seein' as how I've been took in by a freak.
Jaime: (angrily) I don't deserve that.
Billy: I don't deserve to be lied to, either.
Jaime: Well, this some-kinda-gal better get her act together and figure something out here.
Billy: Whataya mean?
Jaime: If we don't get out of here now, we're never going to get out of here. (breaks the ropes tying her legs together)
Billy: Now that is a problem in stress factors I wouldn't even wanna try to calculate.
[edit] Trivia
- Linda Wiser is given the title of "Lab Technician" in this episode, but she is given a name - Sarah - in the other two season three episodes she appears in - The Antidote and On the Run.
- Andrew Prine would become a familiar face to fans of V (1983) as Steven, one of the Visitors. He also re-teamed with Lindsay Wagner in the telefilm Callie and Son (1981)
[edit] Nitpicks
- In the scene where Jaime Sommers takes Billy Cole back to his truck to put him to bed after a night of drinking, Cole has a hard time climbing into the bed of the truck, so Jaime gives him a "hand" by grabbing him by the belt and bionically hoisting him in, but she uses her left, non-bionic, hand to lift him.
