Pam: (having just proven she is tone deaf) Pretty bad huh?
Jaime: (stutters) I, eh, no, it really wasn't...
Pam: Maybe I could play the tambourine?
Jaime: That's a great idea!
Jaime: So you and Oscar were in intelligence together during North Korea?
Muffin: Yeah, that's right, only I had the intelligence to get out of this racket after the war.
Jaime: (posing as Jodi Lee Sommers) Hey, what was that about eh, about a country opera or something?
Buck Buckley: (sighs) Listen, that was the one thing that could have pulled me out of my slump. I put two years of my life into it, then I lost it all over night.
Jaime: How?
Buck Buckley: Well the night before we were supposed to go into the studio and record it, somebody broke in and stole everything. Two months later it came out as a rock opera.
Jaime: Well you could sue for that, couldn't you?
Buck Buckley: No, we checked it out, they changed just enough of it so that our hands were tied. But it was mine... and that's when I started drinking. Tammy found me in a flop-house guzzling hair tonic. Rock bottom.
Jaime: They've gotta be holding [Bill] in that recording studio, because the security's incredible.
Oscar: Have you got his picture, Jaime?
Jaime: Yeah, I've got it here. Oscar, I gotta tell ya - this poor guy - if you sent him in here lookin' like this, it's no wonder he got caught. He looks just like you.
Oscar: But that's an OSI requirement, Jaime. We all look alike.
Muffin: Well... I dunno... one minute, I'm upstairs, snoozin' away, and the next I'm bein' hauled down here by a couple of my ol' buddy's guards. I'm gonna tell you, sweetheart, you sure know how to make enemies out of friends.
Jaime: (sourly) Oh, rub it in.
Jaime: Muffin, we gotta get outta here.
Muffin: Well, you tell me how, and I'll be right behind you. I tell you, I'm as scrummy as a snake in a fryin' pan.
(Jaime, Muffin and Bill have just escaped from a burning studio control room).
Jaime: You alright?
Bill: Who are you?
Jaime: Jaime Sommers. And the guy in the pajamas here is Muffin Calhoun. We're from the OSI.
Buck Buckley: No matter what her reasons for doing this, I'm gonna stand by her like she stood by me.
[edit] Trivia
[edit] Real World
- The characters of Buck and Tammy in this episode are an homage to Country Music legends Buck Owens and Tammy Wynette. The quote above is a cultural reference in that Tammy Wynette's biggest hit was "Stand By Your Man."
[edit] Story
- This is the first episode of the second season to show Jaime in her classroom, teaching.
[edit] Gaffes
[edit] Continuity
- In the classroom scenes, guitar-playing "Stacy" is called "Patty" several times in this episode. However, the credits bill her as "Stacy". Coincidentally, the actress playing this character is Stacey O'Brien.
- In the overhead shot of Jaime and Muffin lying against the console, Jaime's head is facing to her right. In closeup, as the scene closes for commercial, her head is facing to the left.
[edit] Credibility
- During the opening sequence, when we are first introduced to Buck Buckley, he's onstage at the Grand Old Opry, playing his guitar and singing his song. It all seems quite natural - until you realize his guitar isn't even plugged into an amplifier.
[edit] Sound Effects
- When Jaime Sommers goes to investigate Buck Buckley's studio, she has to jump over the electric fence first. The problem with this scene is the bionic sound that indicates that she's about to jump starts up when she's still squatting down to make her jump.
[edit] Storyline
- Jaime uses the undercover name of Jodi Lee Sommers and, her days as a top five tennis pro seem to be forgotten. Nobody recognizes her, again.
