Dr. Leon Jackson is a US scientist in solar energy. His date of birth is unknown. In 1960, he meets and falls in love with a USSR lady scientist during an international conference. He soon defects to the Russians and marries the scientist. Alex is born to the couple. Mrs. Jackson later dies.
In Divided Loyalty, Dr. Jackson decides to return to the States for the future of himself and the teenager Alex. However, the father-and-son seldom communicates, and Alex is not psychologically prepared to leave Russia. Steve Austin challenges himself to escort them to the States in the midst of a hesitating Alex and Russian soldiers crowding in.
