James D. Parriott (November 14, 1950 - ) is a writer, producer, and director. He began his career as a writer for the short-lived television series entitled The Invisible Man (1975 - 1976), which was created and produced by Harve Bennett and starred Melinda Fee[1]. In 1978, Parriott wrote and produced several episodes of The Incredible Hulk (1978) during its first season. Parriott next produced the series Voyagers! (1982 - 1983), and Misfits of Science (1985 - 1986), which starred Diane Civita, who was also his wife (Civita also played a key guest role in the "Jaime's Shield" two-parter written by Parriott). Parriott was a producer and series writer for Forever Knight (1989 - 1996), and has since written episodes and executive produced Grey's Anatomy (2005 - 2006) and Ugly Betty (2006 - 2007).
