James D. Parriott (November 14, 1950 - ) is a writer, producer, and director. He began his career as a writer for the short-lived television series entitled The Invisible Man (1975 - 1976), which was created and produced by Harve Bennett and starred Melinda Fee. In 1978, Parriott wrote and produced several episodes of The Incredible Hulk (1978) during its first season. Parriott next produced the series Voyagers! (1982 - 1983), and Misfits of Science (1985 - 1986), which starred Diane Civita. Parriott was a producer and series writer for Forever Knight (1989 - 1996), and has since written episodes and executive produced Grey's Anatomy (2005 - 2006) and Ugly Betty (2006 - 2007).
