Puzzles is the name of Jaime's dog during her childhood. After the death of Jaime's parents in 1966, the dog came into the ownership of Mrs. Noah and continued to live for at least a decade after the incident.

- Puzzles never appears again after "Jaime's Mother", suggesting the dog -- who, based upon appearing in flashbacks and a photo that had to date from at least 15-16 years earlier, had to be quite elderly -- might have passed away soon after.
- However, as it is not uncommon for pet owners to use the same names for replacement animals (a fictional example being Snowball, the Simpsons' cat), we can't be certain if the Puzzles seen in 1976 is actually the Puzzles seen in the early-1960s.
